We are hearing news from reliable sources that the next edition of IPL is set to commence on April 2nd, 2022 at Chepauk stadium the home of Chennai.
BCCI stated last year that the next edition IPL will be fully conducted in India itself despite the pandemic scenes. In the last edition, we saw a half of the matches conducted in India and UAE. The third wave is already on the horizon, many European countries had already begun to issue lockdown.
In the next edition, we will see the inclusion of 2 new franchises in the league. In the humungous auction conducted last month, BCCI revealed that Lucknow and Ahmadabad are the 2 new inductions. They are planning to wind up this mega competition within 2 months with the Final being slated for June first.
The next edition will mark the 15th IPL season. A true moment of glory to the BCCI, the players, and their ardent fans. With a mega auction arriving we can see many huge names jumping ships and new combos.
